I do have a question related to the existing canons rule - how do characters from "original seasons" of existing franchises fit into this? Example: a fan season for Power Rangers, which will probably be made of up an all-OC main cast, but still heavily tied to Power Rangers as a canon rather than being a standalone original sentai story that could get pro-published without a lot of rewriting. Or an OC Pokemon trainer in a fanmade region, whose Pokemon are mostly also ones designed by their creator for that region instead of canon ones?
