Oh, I wish this place had been around/I'd had Internet access a decade ago, when I was plotting out a Doctor Who fanseason...
Anyway, irrelevant stuff aside, lol, I have a question that I've been building up the nerve to ask you for the past few days.
Can an OC be inspired by a fandom character? I realize that, at first glance, the obvious answer would have to be "no", but I have a reason for asking.
I have certain headcanons regarding my player character in Pokemon Masters EX, but I know that the devs have their own plans (whatever they are), that won't go in that direction. These headcanons of mine are so persistent and interesting to me that, two months ago, I had a really cool dream that gave me a story idea. And I know that my own ideas will clash with whatever the devs have planned.
So, essentially, can an OC be created that isn't said character, but inspired by her, with a backstory of my own creation, and with my headcanon ideas applied to her, instead? Would that be in keeping with the rules of this community?
