"Such a great idea, to hide in the suspect's car," Maureen murmured.
It may have been dark, but Eddie's eyes showed sorriness. They were lying on the car's backseat, and she was on top of him. Very, very close and personal.
Eddie's heart drummed so loud, his face so close to Maureen's. So close, she could kiss him.
Footsteps.
They covered themselves with a blanket that just so happened to be in the car, and he hugged her tightly in an attempt to hide themselves better. The car started and off they went.
Maybe they could finally solve the case.
